Hey chickies so sorry for my late post but its been a bear of a week.  So much that I was only able to get one of my two project done.  I do hope you enjoy it though. This is a layout featuring my two beautiful grandaugthers and a silhouette cut file I believe I got from Paige Evans along with this inspiration.  I just loved this idea immediately when I saw it!  I hope you will as well.  Have a great weekend all!

Springtime in the Winter!

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!  I am excited to bring you my first reveal of the new year.  I truly enjoyed working with this month's kit.  The colors were awesome and each of the papers had a monthly calendar.  I tried to incorporate the month in each of my layouts.  For the most part, I was pretty successful!

I love the flowers in this one.  It reminds me of the Spring time which seems so far away right about now.....lol  I used a photo of me and my grandchildren taken last June when I had all three here with me.  Had a ball!

My next layout I created using a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.  I have had the sketch for a while waiting for the perfect papers to use it and I finally got them!  This is a photo of me and the hubby also taken last summer showcasing the month of August.

Another December Reveal!

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday!  I am coming today to bring you my final 2015 reveal using the fabulous December kit.

Hello everyone, its Brenshevia again with another reveal featuring our fabulous December kit! Christmas comes but once a year and so that is really the only time of the year I get to scrap Christmas photos of the grandkids and with the great December kit I couldnt wait to get those pictures out and put those fabulous papers to work!

First up is a layout featuring grandbaby # 1, although she isnt a baby anymore!  This is one of my all time favorite pictures of her, I think if I could get away with scrapping it for every layout I would. Most of the items used for this layout came from the December kit, all with the exception of the doily.  Take note of the tag behind the photo, youwill see that again!

For my next layout I decided to scrap a photo of all the grandkids at around about the same age for each of them.  All three posing in their Christmas best and somewhat smiling for the camera.......lol. Again, nearly 100% kit items with exception of of the string lights which are from Paper House Productions.  I also used my Silhouette Cameo to create a makeshift tree which I layered with paper to create the effect you see below.

Tuesday Technique with Brenshevia- Washi Tape

Hello everyone, welcome the next installment of Tuesday Technique!  Actually I guess its Thursday Technique as I am a couple of days late!  LOL  As we all know Washi Tape seems to be newest scrapbooking fad that’s taking flight. I am not one usually to follow fads but I like the look it adds to your pages so I figured why not give it a try. Several years ago when I first started scrapping I bought this “how to” book that showed lots of different techniques for adding depths to your pages. One technique was using packing tape to transfer pictures onto the tape and then onto your pages. So I thought if this could work for pictures why not for paper? So I gave it a try. Here is what you need to try it out also:

Supplies:
1. Regular scotch tape (you can even use the dollar store brand)
2. Scraps of patter pattern papers
3. Bone folder
4. Bowl of water
5. Scissors

Step 1: Cut your pattern papers the size of the tape and whatever length you desire, I think it measures about ¾ inches in width. Its ok if your tape isn’t perfectly aligned or just the right size of the tape, it will all come out in the “wash” get it? LOL.

Step 2: Cover paper strips with Scotch tape, use your bone folder to make sure the paper is securely attached to the tape. As you do this the paper will start to curl (see photo below).

Step 3: Once you have completed step 2, place the strip(s) in a bowl of water for about 20-30 seconds, or longer if need be. Let it soak in the water until back of paper feels soft enough to rub off.

Step 4: While still submerged in water, turn the strip of paper over and peel off the back of paper with your fingers. Use your fingertips or thumb to rub off the white part of the paper backing under the water until ALL of the white paper backing is gone.

Complete these steps with each sheet of your strips of pattern papers. When you are done you will have your own virtually cost free washi tape! Aren't they adorable?

Make sure you let them dry completely before adhering to your projects. You can trim the ends at an angle to make it look more like tape, the possibilities are endless!

Final November Reveal

Hello everyone and welcome to my last reveal for the month of November using the fabulous Fall kit!  I am telling you, if you have not picked your kit up yet you need to!

As you all have probably realized by now, I love my Cameo, usually at least one of my pages will feature Cameo cuts most of which I create myself.  This week is no different, my first project .  I used my Cameo and a hexagon background from the Silhouette store to create this wonderful layout featuring an older photo of my grandson at the local Botanical Gardens.  Yes I did use flowers on a boy page.....lol I don't do it often but sometimes I feel as if my page calls for it.

Next up is a page featuring the wonderful Bo Bunny papers included in this month's kit.  I covered the chalkboard with paper and created my off the page project from there.  I then wanted to give it a little background color to set it off so this two-toned paper from the kit was perfect.

Fall Reveals-Brenshevia

Hello everyone and welcome to my first BOAF reveal of the month!  I am so excited to bring you projects using this wonderful Fall kit from BOAF.  For my first layout I used a wonderful cutting file designed by yours truly.  You can find that file HERE if you are interested.  I had some photos taken of me from a couple of Falls ago for which the colors were perfect for these papers!

I am really loving triangles lately on my projects!  Below is another project I created using one of my cut files which you can also find on my blog.  This photo was taken of me also a few years back in Colorado on a trip to the beautiful Garden of the Gods.  Again, perfect for Fall!

Another Fall Reveal!

Hello everyone, welcome to another BOAF reveal using the fabulous October Kit.  Once again I have enlisted the enlisted the help of my trusty Cameo machine to create this wonderful fall leaves background.  Added pattern paper from the kit, embellishments and a photo from a couple of years ago of my grandson at the Botanical Gardens and came up with this wonderful page.  I love it!

It's Fall Yall!

Hey all it's Brenshevia here with another reveal using the fabulous October kit.  If you have not grabbed yours already I dont know what you are waiting for!  This kit is chunked full of awesome Fall colors and scrap goodies!  Now on to my reveal!

First up is a layout I created featuring my beautiful granddaughter.  I pulled out my Silhouette Cameo to help me out on this one using a cut file from Paper Issues I created this fabulous layout filled with wonderful triangles.  In all my years of scrapping I cam honestly say this is the first I have ever used triangles on and I love, LOVE how it turned out!

Next up is a layout featuring my youngest two grandkids and once again I had a little help from my Cameo.  What better background could there be than the one exhibiting the love that you see featured in this photo of my grandson and his baby sister.  Again, loving the way this turned out!
