Technique Tuesday - get inky-Jen T.

Hi all , jen t. here. Happy technique Tuesday!  Are you lovin' the wood veneer in the October kit?!  And that mini ink?! I am! And i thought of some ways to get the most use out of them- First i used the ink pad to ink up the wood veneer really good( if it is a word make your your ink the right side) then press down firmly onto the paper and pull it straight up. Wahlaa! A stamped image and  now you can still use the wood veneer on another project.

Second, i took the same kind of wood veneer and washi to mask off the words so i could use part of the design .see pics below.

Then since i was already inky i got out my acrylic block and stamped the ink on it and used my water pen to watercolor my cloud diecuts for my layout.

Trio of cards using the october kit - jen t

Hi all, jen t here:) i am stopping by today to share some super fun and pretty cards i made with the October kit. I just love the brown and turquoise color combo! Can you tell?! Lol! And oh! That trim is gorgeous! I just fell in love with this kit the minute i eyed it. Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

even a card needs a pretty ruffle skirt
This card i used the Kraft glitter paper for the base, then inked the edge of a cutapart and layered the wood veneer on top. Lastly, i added that gorgeous trim to the bottom of the card.

On the top of this card i used the washi stickers and layered them for dimension. The wood veneer shapes and words are so fun to add to cards!

The gold transparencies in the epherma are sooo pretty!
